Biography: Ephraim Suhir is on the faculty of the Portland State University, Portland, OR, UCLA, USA, and Bordeaux Univ., France. He is also CEO of a Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) ERS Co. in Los Altos, CA, USA, is Foreign Full Member of the National Academy of Engineering, Ukraine (he was born in that country); Life Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), the Society of Optical Engineers (SPIE), and the International Microelectronics and Packaging Society (IMAPS); Fellow of the American Physical Society (APS), the Institute of Physics (IoP), UK, and the Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE); and Associate Fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA). Ephraim has authored 500+ publications, presented numerous plenaries, keynote, invited and contributed talks and taught continued education courses worldwide. He received many professional awards, including 1996 Bell Labs. Distinguished Member of Technical Staff (DMTS) Award (for developing effective methods for predicting the reliability of complex structures used in AT&T and Lucent Technologies products), and 2004 ASME Worcester Read Warner Medal (for outstanding contributions to the permanent literature of engineering and laying the foundation of a new discipline “Structural Analysis of Electronic Systems”). He is the third “Russian American”, after S. Timoshenko and I. Sikorsky, who received this prestigious award. Biography: Dr. Rania Remmani is a research fellow at the University of Miguel Hernández, Spain, and an expert in environmental chemistry, sustainable materials, and biochar-based pollutant remediation. Her research focuses on the valorization of date palm biomass, the development of advanced carbon materials, and AI-driven environmental solutions within the circular bioeconomy framework. Dr. Remmani has authored and co-authored several publications in high-impact journals such as Environmental Science and Pollution Research, Chemical Engineering Science, and Materials. She actively serves as a reviewer for prestigious journals including Journal of Environmental Management, Agricultural Water Management, and Science of the Total Environment (Elsevier). Her ongoing work combines life cycle assessment, machine learning, and sustainable technologies to address global water and environmental challenges.

DE MORAIS (H-62), PhD, was full Professor of Physics at the University of Brasilia (UnB) – Brazil up to 2013, Appointed as UnB’s Emeritus Professor (2014), Appointed as Guest Professor of Huazhong University of Science and Technology – China (2011), Visiting Professor at Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) – China (2012-2015), Appointed as Distinguished Professor at Anhui University (AHU) – China (2016-2019), Appointed as Full Professor at Catholic University of Brasília (UCB) – Brazil (2018), Appointed as CNPq-1A Research Fellowship since 2010. 2007 Master Research Prize from UnB, 2008-member of the European ERA NET Nanoscience Committee, Member of the IEEE-Magnetic Society Technical Committee, Senior Member of the IEEE Society, 2012 China’s 1000 Foreign Expert Recipient, and 2012 Academic Excellence Award from Brazilian Professor’s Union. He held two-years (1987-1988) post-doc position with Bell Communications Research – New Jersey, USA and received his Doctoral degree in Solid State Physics (1986) from the Federal University of Minas Gerais – Brazil. He graduated in both Chemistry (1976) and Physics (1977) at UnB. Professor Morais is member of the Brazilian Physical Society and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers – IEEE. He has served as referee for more than 50 technical journals, takes part of the Editorial Board of more than 15 technical journals and has conducted research on nanomaterials for over 40 years. He is known for his research in preparation, characterization and applications of nanosized materials (magnetic fluid, magnetoliposome, magnetic nanoemulsion, magnetic nanocapsule, magnetic nanofilm, magnetic nanocomposite, nanosized semiconductors, polymeric dots, carbon dots, and graphene quantum dots). With more than 500 published papers in peer reviewed journals, more than 14,500 citations, more than 250 international invited talks (35 countries), and 16 filed patents. Biography: Adrian Ioinovici, IEEE Fellow, is the Director of the Power Electronics based on Switched Capacitors (PESC) Center, the Shanghai University of Electrical Power, China, within the “one thousand foreign experts plan”, and holds honorary professorships from many universities
He got the IEEE Fellow grade for “pioneering work in switched-capacitor converters” and served as Associate Editor for many IEEE Transactions. He is the Founding Editor-in-Chief and present EiC of International Journal of Power Electronics and Applications.
He authorized the books Computer-Aided Analysis of Active Circuits (New York: Marcel Dekker, 1990) and Power Electronics and Energy Conversion Systems, Volume 1: Fundamentals and Hard-switching Converters (Wiley, 2013). His main research interests are switching-capacitor converters and inverters, large dc gain converters, soft-switching converters. He published over 200 papers in IEEE Transactions and conferences.

Biography: Hanshen Li received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, an M.S. degree in Computer Science from Waseda University, and a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from North China Electric Power University. He is currently a Research Fellow at the China Electric Power Planning & Engineering Institute and also serves as a Youth Growth Mentor for the Beijing Municipal Committee of the Communist Youth League. Prior to 2023, he held the position of Deputy Secretary of the Communist Youth League Working Committee of Yongding Road Subdistrict. Prof. Li serves on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Energy Science and Technology and is a Young Editorial Board Member of EcoEnergy. He is a member of IEEE, IEEJ, CSEE, and CES. His research interests span power systems, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. To date, he has published over 30 papers, which have received more than 100 citations.

Biography: Dr. Haider is a scientific researcher specializing in mechanoluminescence (ML) and ultrasound-induced luminescence (Us-L) properties of phosphor materials. He has developed several novel experimental techniques for investigating ML and Us-L phenomena and focuses on fabricating ML-based stress sensors for industrial and medical applications. His work also includes the design of multifunctional ML material films that respond to diverse mechanical stimuli, enabling the visualization of acoustic (especially Ultrasonic) waves for advanced sensing and optoelectronic applications. In addition, he has extensive research experience in electrochemical energy storage and conversion devices, particularly in supercapacitors, supercapatteries, and the mechanistic investigation of charge storage in battery-grade electrode materials.

Biography: Thouraya SAHLI CHAHED, expert in remote sensing and application in various territorial management. She has a background education on Rural Engineer specialized on Soil and water conservation & forest (CES-Forest). She is graduated of the National Agronomic Institute of Tunisia (Diploma of Engineer, 1990) and of ENGREF-CEMAGREF Montpellier in France (Common Laboratory of Remote Sensing) (Specialized Higher Degree, 1991).
Since 1992, she managed her carrier between operational applications of remote sensing and space application affairs. She was involved in the several program to develop methodologies based on Remote Sensing techniques for better management and protection of natural resources and also projects that meet socio-economic needs, and education. She has been Assistant Technologist in the Higher Institute of Technological Studies (ISET Nabeul, Tunisia) where she contributed, from 2003 to 2009, to the launch of the Department of Geomatic. and as part her teaching activities, she also had in charge management and communication actions, as well as promoting space technology and related sciences for potential users in different ministries through student’s works.
She was in charge respectively of the training and communication department, Space Activities Development Unit, cooperation and plannification in the National Center for Mapping and Remote Sensing
From 2010, she was the Tunisian representative in the COPUOS and in its subcommittees organized by the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs . She gave several presentations related to the Tunisian national space activities and the CNCT. Then Tunisia succeeded to gain the membership in the COPUOS, in 2010. Then, as a State member, continued to be represented by a high-level delegation with her active contribution, Thouraya participate in the sessions of COPUOS and its Scientific and Technical Subcommittee until 2019.
She strongly believes that space activities and related technologies and their various applications are crucial for the social, economic and human sectors of the development, and that the international cooperation is crucial to allow countries to ensure their economic and social growth and to benefit from the contribution of space technologies for better resource management and sustainable use, which goes hand in hand withe international conventions.
In this sense and after all acquired skills, currently, his interest is focused on the contribution of Remote Sensing, particularly open data, to study the fossil energy sources and the impact of their uses with the impact on the carbon footprint, as well as prospective studies on the energy transistion.

Biography: Imane Bersy is a PhD student specializing in the evaluation and optimization of building energy performance at ENSAM Rabat / Université Mohammed V, Morocco. Her research focuses on advanced thermal modeling, energy efficiency, and sustainable building materials to enhance the performance and sustainability of urban and rural built environments.
